I hooked it up to my air compressor not included, and was able get the spindle motor spin at various rpm's, as shown.

Approximate overall unpacked dimensions: 13 l x 19 w 16. Also, I gave the rotor a spin with my hand while it was hooked up to air, and spun freely for about 7 seconds.

The controller powers up, and digital display is bright clear, it responds to input from controls.
